ZOOM partnered with the BCCI in taking the overnight sensation known as the IPL, to millions of viewers across the world, right from the inaugural season in 2008.
We implemented the first broadcast of season 1 with four SD kits. In 2010 we took the IPL to High Definition. The same year, ZOOM brought in the technology to implement the first ever 3D telecast of the IPL.... As the IPL became the broadcast phenomenon that it is, we were right there.... By 2016, the IPL required the deployment of eight full broadcast kits simultaneously....one of the biggest deployments of kit globally, for a single-sport event.
An IPL kit is huge by any standard... Forty plus HD camera channels that include 3X and 6X Super slow motion camera channels, Ultramotion and RF camera channels, a large number of EVS Replay Servers and a number of special cameras like stumpcams and aerial wire systems. Backing all this is are high capacity hybrid routers, all interlinked through a fail safe communications system.
ZOOM had a large presence at the Jakarta Asian Games in August-September 2018 with the kits and engineering crews for the host broadcast coverage from 13 venues.
The sports included Men's Football, Basketball, Handball, Table Tennis, Wushu, Rugby 7's, Boxing, Fencing, Pencat Silat and Kabaddi.
ZOOM deployed almost 80 tons of kit and over a 100 crew members for the month-long assignment in Jakarta and Bandung.
From 2018, till date, ZOOM has been entrusted by RISE with all broadcast facilities and engineering crew provisions for its prestigious Indian Super League, soccer's annual tourney in India. This included the 20-21& 21-22 seasons when the ISL was one of a global handful of major tournaments that carried out a successful 5 month season annually, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.
ZOOM played a major role by providing 70% of the HD Broadcast Equipment and diversified production services required for the XIX Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010, for UK based SIS Live which included hiring of over 1200 professionals from all over the world. ZOOM also provided complete logistical services, including hotels & travel and transport, to SIS Live for the Host Broadcast of the CWG.
For two consecutive seasons starting from 2107, ZOOM were also the exclusive OB solution providers for the 5 month long I-League football season from November to March. Six kits and four crews were deployed at venues ranging from Shillong to Srinagar, Aizawl to Kozhikode, a total of 12 venues ranging across the country.
ZOOM has been the exclusive broadcast facilities provider for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) from it's first inaugural in 2015 and is now in the midst of the 2021 season which is a part of a 3 year contract uptil (Season 7) in 2023.
The first Indian company to provide broadcast facilities for the live coverage of international sporting events, ZOOM has a virtual 'zero error' track record and an unmatched cricket broadcast record in India that totals over 2500 TX days.
In 2018, ZOOM was confirmed as the exclusive facilities provider for cricket telecast on the SONY network from Sri Lanka, the West Indies and the UAE for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. June – August 2018 saw tours by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and in January and February 2019, the much awaited England tour of the Windies.
ZOOM was the exclusive host broadcast services provider for the South Africa and England tours of Sri Lanka in 2018.
ZOOM commenced the execution of its 2015-2018 contract with the BCCI, as Host Broadcaster, with the India - South Africa series followed by Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Australia and Afghanistan and of course, three seasons of the IPL, apart from over 150 days of Domestic cricket.
In 2015, ZOOM was confirmed as the exclusive O.B facilities provider for all International cricket in Bangladesh, including the Pakistan, India, Australia and West Indies series in Bangladesh over the year. For the first time, all cricket broadcast in Bangladesh was originated in High Definition.
In September 2014, as in 2013, ZOOM provided the complete requirement of Broadcast facilities for the Champion's League T20 championship, telecast globally across the Star – ESPN – Fox networks. ZOOM communications Ltd was the exclusive provider of all Outside Broadcast Facilities….Host broadcast feed, as well as unilateral feeds, in both Hindi and English.
The month long engagement spanned many locations across India and was ZOOM's third CLT20 fixture after South Africa in 2010.
In 2012, 2013 & 2014 ZOOM provided Unilateral Broadcast facilities for English and Hindi feed to ESPN Star Sports for coverage of all International Cricket in India.
In 2011, ZOOM provided, to the company contracted by the ICC, the complete O.B facilities and Engineering support for the ICC World Cup for all the matches held in India.
From 2006 to 2010, ZOOM was the sole facilities provider for all of BCCI's International and Domestic Cricket fixtures.
A company with a global footprint, in October 2011 ZOOM became the exclusive Production and Facilities partner for Boxnation, England's first boxing channel, for a period of five years. During this period we transited the channel to High Definition and provided broadcast and production facilities for hundreds of bouts across the United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland and Europe, including very large prizefights like Hayes vs Chisora at the forty thousand seater Upton Park stadium.
The Ultimate Table Tennis League debuted in 2017 with exciting matches across three cities, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. After a successful second season, the league followed through with a vision of creating Olympic level champions from India.
ZOOM has brought its capabilities to bear for the coverage of many important and epochal events as well as a plethora of award functions, concerts etc. Ranging, from a live 4-way simulcast of General Musharraf's visit to Agra in 2001, to deployment in many breaking news situations. During every election in the past decade and a half, major news channels have used ZOOM's services for their live telecasts from different parts of the country. These include Times Now, NDTV, CNN IBN, TV Today etc.
ZOOM's expert crews and high end technology have also brought to life many high profile entertainment shows and award ceremonies, Filmfare, Femina, Gladrags, Lakme Fashion Week, CNN - IBN Citizen Journalist Award, NDTV Awards, etc... among others. ZOOM has also been the preferred partner of most A list international artists touring India like Guns n Roses, Korn, Santana and Metallica.
